Do you have any idea how simple it is to make peanut butter at home? I love easy, heathy swaps and this is definitely one I’ll be holding onto. I love that you can make different variations and that you know EXACTLY what’s going into your peanut butter!

All you need is:

Peanuts (salted, unsalted, honey roasted – whatever you want!)

Optional- salt, honey, vanilla extract, maple syrup, cocoa – anything you’d like to flavor or enhance with.

A trusty little food processorthis is my personal favorite because it’s compact with a space for hiding the cord when out of use (oh, and it’s cute and matches my kitchen aid mixer as well!)

Directions

Don’t feel defeated when you don’t instantly have peanut butter in front of you.
Fill your food processor about 3/4 the way with peanuts, only peanuts and process in 30 second increments. In between increments scrape off the sides and continue. The magic really happens after about 4 runs at 30 seconds. Continue about 6 or 7 times until your desired consistency is met.
Once you’ve reached your desired consistency, pour the peanut butter into a glass container or jar and THEN mix in your add ins. ENJOY!

MY FAVORITE VERSION

Salted Peanuts (16 oz filled a 12 oz mason jar)
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Maple Syrup

Hope you enjoy homemade peanut butter as much as we do!
